Photolibrary Promotional Campaign

Photolibrary approached us to create promotional campaign that could reposition the agency in Australia and overseas. As the name of the company, Photolibrary, is a generic term, our concept centred on the idea that everybody has their own photo library. We came up with the idea of creating a compendium of mini magazines called 'My Photolibrary' that would show shots from the Photolibrary collection alongside personal photo collections of leading international creatives. Key to the appeal was giving people access to private photos of people such as Stefan Sagmeister and Kareem Rashid,“ instantly making the piece desirable to people in the industry. Each issue features a range of creatives as well as a collection of Photolibrary images that are selected to interact with the personal collections showing the breadth and strengths of the library itself. To date three mini magazine collections have been produced. The compendium is inserted into key design magazines in Australia and the UK.

James Cant Identity & Mailer

Returning to his home in Australia from London, where he was a highly respected beauty and fashion photographer, James Cant was unknown to publishers and agencies in Sydney. He wanted a memorable DM piece that showcased the depth of his experience to a market saturated with competition for the same jobs. A mailer was created to the scale of broadsheet newspaper using bulky newsprint stock. This ensured needed cut through in the glossy magazine industry. Future updates of his work were key in creating the magazine concept and a title for the mock magazine became a play on his surname 'Cant'. A simple cross through the 't', elevated the idea of his skill and the retention of his name. 'Cant' became 'Can'.
