The Alphabet Foundation Website

Project: The Alphabet Foundation Website
Client: The Alphabet Foundation

The Alphabet Foundation is a non-profit organisation which aims to provide an education to poor and underprivileged children across the world. In approaching the site build, Frost evoked the concept of the lettering stencil used by children in the classroom to create a two-layered website, where each letter represents a different aim or idea related to the Foundation. The result for the site user is a fluid combination of both functionality and fun.

Flip Dot Wall Summer Sequence

Project: Stockland Flip Dot Wall - Summer sequence
Client: Stockland

Coined the "Flip Dot Wall", Frost Design created an interactive art piece that utilises over 9000 revolving dots to create unlimited animations. The wall is 5 metres wide and 6 metres high and illustrates images or text in either black or brilliant red. As the dots move through their paces they create a subtle audio ambience and air-movement that extends the experience beyond the visual. One of its great advantages is that the piece can be programmed to carry a multitude of sequences – some poetic, some factual, and some simply fun. It can change according to season, event or achievement, and can be adapted for functions in the foyer to become part of the entertainment.

Australian Directors Guild

Project: ADG website
Client: Australian Directors' Guild

Having redesigned the ADG identity, their website was a great opportunity to bring the brand to life. The logo is a play on the aperture of a camera and is central to the design of the site. The logo is used in conjunction with photos of ADG members, which were purpose-commissioned by Frost for the project using leading photographer James Cant. The website uses innovative technology and interactive components to bring the brand to life in an engaging way. The user can move the navigation around, it can support large images without restricting the user experience, and is designed for dynamic content display and ongoing creative evolution.

General Pants Summer Campaign

Project: Summer of Love
Client: General Pants Co.

Frost* Design Sydney was approached by General Pants Co. to create their Summer 2007 campaign. One of the main objectives was to grow their female 20-25 market while also continuing to build on their strong male customer base.
The campaign is based around capturing iconic summer moments while also evoking the General Pants brand positioning of ‘disrupting the average’. The result is a modern take on the “Summer of Love”.
Working with international fashion photographer Pierre Toussaint and the General Pants team, Frost created a series of raw and edgy black and white images, which are coupled with copylines heralding back to the heydays of 60s and 70s psychedelia and rock.
The campaign will be seen on outdoor in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, as well as featuring in magazines such as Vice and Oyster, and appearing in General Pants windows and stores.
